Grrrrrrrrr.

Yesterday I wrote: “ So…..we’re not exactly off to the best of starts.”, what with taking an extra day to get to Barcelona due to bad weather & high seas. (And Barbara’s cold) The delay forced the cancellation of what would have been the first call at Malta, Gozo, in a couple of days.

NOW, just as were were about to disembark here in Barcelona, the Captain came on the PA and announced that a couple of positive cases have been found, guests onboard, and as a result, clearance is denied:  no passengers or crew will be allowed to go ashore, either here or in the next stop, Menorca.   We’ve been to both places before, so it’s not a total tragedy, but of course I now begin to worry about the other port in Malta, which was a key reason I settled on this itinerary.  This *&^%$#@#$%^ covid thing is not over yet, dammit.
