So, we are now settled into our little Airbnb apartment in the suburbs of Rome, Trastevere to be exact. This is the rest and re-group phase of the trip - we’ve both seen the sights of Rome more than once, so here we have a chance to relax a little & be more like “residents” than tourists, and take a breath and gear up for the second half, Egypt. We have wandered around the neighborhood, seen the ancient cathedral of Santa Maria in Trastevere (with its amazing mosaics), and bought prosciutto, cheese and fresh pasta to make dinner.
