One of the absolute highlights. When the Aswan dam was built in the 1960’s, the entire Abu Simbel temple had to be cut into 46,000 pieces, moved 60 meters higher and 200 meters away on higher ground, and reassembled. We had a particularly good, knowledgeable guide for this one.
