Ok, folks, I’ve posted a ton of stuff just now. So remember, if you want to see every little thing, you’ll need to scroll down each page to the bottom, and hit “older posts”. Probably several times.

Our wonderful Egyptologist and guide, Wenna.

Ok. One of the biggest check marks on the ol’ bucket list.

Now we’re gettin’ to the piece de resistance. Our lunch table gives us a hint of where we’re headed. So does the shape of our rice.

The “step pyramid” of Ramses establishes the early prototype for what would come later (only 100 years) in Giza. The scaffolding is for restoration work.

Now at the (even more) ancient city of Saqqara, site of Ramses II works.

Really exquisite design.

A few seconds after this pic, a guy reached out the window from inside the red van driving in the opposite direction and swiped some of the beans the boys are wheeling down the street. They weren’t pleased.

Wandering around the souk. Stop and have a mint tea, and watch the men smoke their water pipes.

More Cairo Museum.

Out & about in Cairo.

The best view from a hotel room we’ve ever had. Can’t figure out those triangular bumps off in the distance at the end, though. 😜
