We were here, at Tangalooma on Moreton Island, four years ago but the weather was so bad, the tender had to midway turn back to the ship, never making it to shore. Better weather this time (although not ideal, as our parasailing adventure was canceled) But we snorkeled the famous Tangalooma wrecks, which were intentionally placed decades ago, to become an artificial reef, hosting all sorts of marine life. We were not allowed to take anything aboard the reef boat (including phone) so I have to present a couple of random internet photos, to approximate the experience. (We used “sea scooters”, which look like miniature torpedos, to propel one along, making the whole experience that much more fun and easy)
