From every conceivable angle on the zodiacs, the glacier is mesmerizing. And we saw *three* calvings, I.e. portions of the glacier breaking off and crashing into the water. The first sound is like a gunshot, then the roar of the ice falling from the edge and smashing not the water. Followed by huge pieces furiously bobbing back up to the surface, then to float away.
