Perhaps hard to see in this picture, but lots of little kids (and older folks, too) wave at us as we drive by. The cynic in me wondered if there wasn't a little derision mixed in, but I think not - they appear to be genuinely curious about us, and enjoy a split-second connection, with us waving back.
