OK folks, you will have noticed a few days off before the last few posts - we've done the long slog home and slept about 14 hours to catch up. The quadrupeds were happy to see us, and Madame Pele welcomed us home with a pretty nice sky. Thanks for coming along!
In the Corinth port, we walked by this monster. Belongs to the Prime Minister of United Arab Emirates. 531 feet long, 50 bedrooms.

Probably not in Nero's time.
We then sailed the canal between the Aegean and the Ionian Sea. It was originally begun by Nero, but only reached fruition in the late 1800's.
Guarding the Temple of Apollo is a tough job but somebody's gotta do it.
Corinth is the last port of the cruise. Lots of ancient ruins, of course..

(I’m aware that some videos work and some don’t - it’s just an expected situation in tough wifi areas. Apologies if it didn’t come through)
Our oarsman sang during most of the trip. Won’t make anybody forget Charles Aznavour, but still. (Yeah yeah yeah, Aznavour was Armenian. Potato, potahto)
Seabourn has it as “Cephalonia”, it’s also frequently “Kephalonia”. Whatever - “a rose by any other name”…..such a delightful place. Melissani’s Cave - it used to be entirely underground but a portion of the surface area fell years ago, so now it’s half open, half covered. Crystal clear water.
…….and then the next morning: sunrise over Cephalonia.
Sunset at Corfu. Then late that night.

Wait. Another rubber duckie store? Has this become a “thing”, and I didn’t know?
More Šibenik.
Šibenik, Croatia.
(Also quite popular with cruise ships)
Corfu. Beautiful and charming.

Ooops, meant to post this a week or 10 days ago. Now I can’t remember where it was. 🤦♂️ I *do* remember, though, that the local airport was interestingly located.
Sailing out of Kotor Bay was pretty spectacular.
More Kotor. Maritime Museum, cathedral, etc.

Spectacular setting. Quaint, picturesque Old Town.
OK, on to Kotor, Montenegro. Several years ago, I came across this internet photo. Really looked like “our kinda place”. So, we finally made it here.
Verrrrry tempted by the cannolis.

Crowds are insane. You cannot walk at your own speed, you can only slooooowly trudge along with people heading in the same direction, slow-motion dodging those headed in the opposite direction. That said…….it *is* an amazing place.
