So, it's back into the zodiacs. The ship drops us off at Storstappen island, to take a tour of lots of different nesting areas of the local birds. The ship proceeds to Honningsvåg, where we'll meet up with them in a few hours.

It's just impossible to do justice to the puffin colony with photographs, they're so small and there are so many of them, just under a million, to be exact.  They're skittish and don't allow us to get very close before diving or flying away.  The last photo is, of course, a stock photo from the internet, not anything I took - just included to show what they look like.  Like penguins, they can absolutely fly underwater.
