Point being, major weather has moved in, and spoiled our day in Oban, as well as redirecting the ship away from previously planned Am Baile and St. Kilda as the next destination, and toward the Isle of Skye instead, for better shelter. Always amusing to see fellow passengers stagger up and down the hallways - it’s just roiling seas of course, but everybody looks like they’ve partied a bit too hard.

Our view of the Glencoe massif. Also, the adjoining glen, carved by glaciers.

Our view from the car, of Ben Nevis mountain & its gondola ride to the top. Gondola didn’t run.

In the cruise ship terminal on the Isle of Man. Sometimes I think that British folks are easily confused.

The Isle of Man is famous for Celtic and Viking crosses, carved in stone. Anywhere from about 800 AD to 1100.

Pembroke Castle, birthplace of Henry VII, from the inside of our vehicle. This may not be one of my better photos.

This is Tenby, and seems representative of the Welsh coast.

Land’s End. The most southwesterly point of England. Must be really wonderful, since it is thus England’s closest geographical point to the USA. I offer that mostly to my English buddy in Fife, who seems not to understand these sorts of nuances.

St. Michael’s Mount, from close & not so close. Reminiscent of Mont St. Michel in France.
